It really was so fun and even though it is not a huge park it was so nice not having pressure to do tons of things. We could have spent hours following the rays around. We were there early (probably could have shown up around 8 and would be fine instead of 7:30) went straight to the aviary when it opened and it was hilarious being attacked by the birds. One of my girls took a 2 hour nap on the “beach”. We chose not to do any add-ons and it made it so relaxing. My tween son doesn’t love fish but snorkeled in the lazy river and the bigger pool area for hours in between pretzels and slushee breaks. My 3 teenage girls loved the reef, feeding the birds, and floating the beautiful lazy river.
Orlando cove dolphin swim free#
Please feel free to contact us directly at just returned from a trip to Orlando and we LOVED Discovery Cove. We are incredibly proud of our park, our animals and our Ambassadors and 100% open to all Guest questions. I hope we have addressed your concerns and if you have additional questions, we are always open for Guest inquiries. Our dolphins like all dolphins in the wild use this behavior for many reasons. As mentioned, raking is a natural form of communication and aggression is not necessarily the catalyst. Each day, our dolphins all receive a diet based on their individual physiological needs, and they receive this diet regardless of their behavior. They can choose to swim to any of the many sanctuary environments provided throughout the day at any time and are choosing to participate in the interactions. Our dolphins do indeed interact with guests but are never forced to do so. While the three large lagoons next to the public access area are easy to see, you might not have taken in, that in all there are 14 pools that the dolphins have access to. Discovery Cove’s dolphin facilities do not just meet government standards, they far exceed them. After reading your concerns about the dolphins in our care we are compelled to give you more information about the care we provide. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on your last visit.
